

Emma Wrenn Jones, 82, of Richmond, VA, went to her Heavenly home on Friday, January 9th, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, William "Bear" Jones; and her parents, James Ashby and Vera Wright Wrenn.
She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Rosenfeld (Jeff) and Kelli Clough (David); grandchildren, Zachary Rosenfeld (Julia), Noah Clough, and Sarah Clough; sisters-in-law, Ann Haddon and Judith Harvell; along with multiple nieces and nephews. Emma was blessed with many cousins whom she considered to be her siblings. She had many precious friends whom she enjoyed spending time with and enjoying lunches and dinners.
Emma or Emma Jean, as she was known by many, was born and raised in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina before moving to Richmond to attend Pan American Business School. She met Bill while in Richmond, and they would make their home here. Emma worked for Wheat First Securities which eventually became Wells Fargo Advisors for over 40 years. She attended Grove Avenue Baptist Church, along with Baptist Fellowship and Mount Vernon Baptist Church.
Emma's life was based on her strong faith and love for Jesus. Her family meant everything to her, and her passion was sending cards and calling friends and family to chat. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, January 17, at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd. Richmond, VA, with a visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow at Westhampton Memorial Park, 10000 Patterson Ave. Richmond, VA. The family would like to thank the amazing nursing staff at Henrico Doctors Hospital - Forest 3rd and 4th floors, and the team at Suncrest Hospice.
