Evelyn Wiltshire Brooks

BROOKS, Evelyn Wiltshire, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior at age 100 on Friday, April 15, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton B. Brooks; and son, E. Wayne Brooks. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Mellick (Roger); son, Ron Brooks (Tina); and daughter-in-law, Rosemary Brooks; grandchildren, Ruth Meiser (Steve), David Mellick (Traci), Angela Baker (John), Jenni Gough (Bubba) and Seth Brooks (Ann); great-grandchildren, Rachel, Josiah, Luke Meiser with another on the way, Ruby, Eliza and Levi Mellick, Joshua Baker, Skylar and Spencer Gough, Avery and Malachi Brooks; sister, Julia Duckworth; brothers, William Wiltshire (Iris) and Clyde Wiltshire (Anna).

Evelyn dedicated her life to evangelizing children, working in the juvenile detention facility, and her overriding passion was that every single person would come to know Jesus and have a relationship with Him. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Greater Richmond Chapter of Child Evangelism Fellowship or the Missions Fund at Immanuel Baptist Church.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, April 20, 2016, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., where services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, April 21. Interment Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be offered at woodyfuneralhomeparham.com.
