THOMPSON, George Lewis III, 77, of Richmond, he owned and operated Richmond Marine a local boat dealership for 30 years before retiring, passed away April 2, 2012. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Thompson. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joyce Ann Thompson; four sons, Edward R. Thompson, of Richmond, Brian L. Thompson (Meg) of McLean, Va., Bill Thompson of Woodhole, Mass. and David Thompson of San Diego, Calif.; one daughter, Sandra Varney of Springfield, Mass.; three grandchildren, Elizabeth, Carolyn and Mary; sister, Olivia Vanda Komp of Laguna Woods, Calif.
