Jean Friend Bunnell

BUNNELL, Jean Friend, 72, of Hadensville, Virginia, joined her family with the Lord on July 25, 2014. Originally from Chatham, Va., she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dennis Harold “Dennie” Bunnell; her parents, John Arthur Friend and Bessie Carter Friend; and her brother John Arthur Friend, Jr.

She is survived by children, Catherine Meleski, Lewis “Tag” Montague and his wife Sheila, Alan Bunnell and his wife Ellen, and Nevin Bunnell and his wife Vivian; grandchildren, Caitlin Meleski, Ethan Bunnell, Maya Bunnell, and Ryland Bunnell; sister in law, Huntley Friend; niece and nephew; Laine Moore, and John “Chip” Friend; as well as a wide circle of friends.

She was devoted to her family and friends, and supportive of all her children and grandchildren. After her retirement from Reynolds Metals, she was able to spend more time doing the things she loved, such as; dancing, golfing, bowling, reading. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her because of her loving, gentle, caring nature.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Thursday, July 31, 2014 at the Parham Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N Parham Rd, Richmond, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Memorial gifts may be given to the Alzheimers Association.
