Mr. Jerry Pippin

Jerry Pippin, 93 of Manakin-Sabot departed this earth on July 15, 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth (Betty) Taylor Pippin. Also preceded in death by his twin brother Gary and other siblings Robert, Charles, and Charlotte. He is survived by his children Vicky, Yolanda, Dennis and Scott (Gail). Jerry and Betty were blessed with several grandchildren: Hillary, Grayson (Robyn), Lauren (Kim), Tyler (Becca), Reed, Daniel, Will, Katie and 6 great grandchildren. Jerry and Betty’s love for pets were instilled in their children. Current grand dogs are Ginny, Pippin, Nova and Ember. Jerry served in the Army training paratroopers in the 82nd Airborne. At age 40 he founded Air Conditioning Equipment Sales, Inc (ACES) and later acquired Mechanical Systems Testing and Balancing Inc (MSTB) with his son Scott. After retiring from ACES and MSTB he opened Jerry’s Restaurant. He was a member of Hermitage Country Club for 30+ years. His hobbies included scuba diving, golf and tennis. He loved traveling and spending time with the love of his life Betty. He was quite a character and always could make you laugh. Most importantly he had a heart of gold, he was kind, loving and generous to his family, friends and employees.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 23rd from 4-7pm at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N Parham Rd, Richmond, Virginia 23229. A private graveside service for family will be held at Greenwood Memorial.
