PASTORE, John R., 82, died on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at an assisted living facility in Richmond. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara; and three children, Annamarie (Karl Rigelman), Renee and Giacomo (Alice Young). He is also survived by four granddaughters, as well as two sisters, four brothers and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother and a sister. Mr. Pastore graduated from VPI with a chemical engineering degree and worked in the research labs at Fort Monmouth, N.J. and Fort Belvoir, Va. Later, he was a real estate broker and building contractor in the Richmond area.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 28, at the Parham Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., with visitation one hour prior to the service and immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to VCU Parkinson's and Movement Disorders Center, P.O.
