Josephine Fayed AbouHana

ABOUHANA, Josephine Fayed, went to be with the Lord on February 24, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fouad S. AbouHana; and her brother, Fred Fayed. She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda AbouHana of Rome, Italy; brother, Sam Fayed of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.; sisters, Dorothy Perry (David) of Cary, N.C., Wadad Giles (James) of Durham, N.C., and Betty Jean Moore (Robert) of Irmo, S.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Josephine was born in Roanoke Rapids, N.C. on December 24, 1938, to Tucker and Bedder Fayed. She attended Roanoke Rapids High School, East Carolina University, and Barton School of Business. She worked at J.P. Stevens Co., Inc. before marrying and moving to Richmond, Va. in 1970. Josephine took pleasure in forging relationships with customers and colleagues during her many years as a sales associate at Macy’s Department Store in Regency Square Mall. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 28, 2016, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Woody Funeral Home, Parham Chapel, 1771 N. Parham Rd., Richmond, Va. 23229. A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 29, at 9 a.m. at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, 12609 Patterson Ave., Richmond, Va. 23238, followed by a Celebration of Life at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Woods Assisted Living Community, 1257 Marywood Lane, Richmond, Va. 23229. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to Derbyshire Baptist Church, 8800 Derbyshire Rd., Richmond, Va. 23229, where Josephine was a member, or to a charity of your choice.
