Andrews, Joyce F. (Big Joyce), 87, beloved mother, sister and Aunt (Nana), passed on May 31, 2016. She leaves no one behind because she takes us all with her in her heart. Born on July 16, 1928, in Boones Mill, VA, she follows her mother Clara, sister Nadine, brother Wayne and niece “Little” Joyce.
Those here who will continue to love and miss her are her treasured daughter, Sherry Gayle Andrews and sister, Barbara Ann Harris. Among her special beloved was her niece, Sheilah Colthorpe and Sheilah’s family, Eric, Kelly and Sean. Also, many more nieces and nephews in Richmond, Maryland, Arizona and Belize. She loved flowers, gardening and especially cooking her specialties of potato salad and macaroni and cheese.
A celebration of her arrival in heaven will be held at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home,1771 N. Parham Rd. on Thursday, June 16, 2016 where family will receive friends from 2 to 3pm followed by a memorial service beginning at 3pm. Condolences may be left at woodyfuneralhomeparham.com.
