Joyce Clary Gill of Richmond, VA, passed away on November 19, 2025. Born in Lawrenceville, VA, she was preceded in death by her parents, John Lewis and Rosalie Clary as well as her husband, Charles William "Bill" Gill, Sr.
She was a longtime, devoted member and faithfully served as a Deacon at Ridge Baptist Church. She was a public servant and retired from the Division of Legislative Automated Systems with the Virginia General Assembly in 2007 after a 40-year career.
Joyce is survived by her daughter, Sandra; granddaughter, Katelyn Mitchell (Jimmy); great grandchildren, Alene and Wes; son, Billy Gill (Sheila)and grandson, Will. She is also survived by her brothers, John Drew Clary (Kathryn) and Donald Clary (Judith); sister, Pat Throckmorton; and sister-in-law, Jane Price. She was a beloved aunt to several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd. Richmond, VA, at 10:00am on Monday, November 24, followed by a service at 11:00am.
