Some things I remember about Mom:  

Her very first trip on an airplane was to Newfoundland to see her first granddaughter Rhonda. Mom and Evelyn Atkinson made the trip together.  Almost 4 years later Mom and her mother Estelle traveled to Bermuda to see grandson Andrew. A couple of years later, Mom and Dad came to see us  in Hawaii for a visit. I think by then mom was really into flying. Over the years, Mom and Eve made the two-week trip back to Newfoundland with Cola and I two more times, by car and ferry. Every day Mom would write in a little notebook all the things we did that day. For many years mom and I had the opportunity to spend a week together in Myrtle Beach. This was one of our favorite places to go, shopping, eating out, and walking on the beach with some of my favorite people, Mabel and Horace Brock. They were also a big part of our Naylor’s Beach experience: camping, swimming, boating, water skiing and all-in-all just good times.
The past five years have been a challenge for mom and the people around her, but we are so grateful for the time that we had. Mom was always there for her family, a smile that came from her heart, and the first words out of her mouth would be “Are you OK?” No matter if you were walking through the door or calling on the phone.
Mom we miss you, but now you can hear the music, remember the steps, and line dance to your hearts content.

A beautiful soul has left this realm for the next and we're sure gonna miss her.  . .
Mrs. Joyce as a loving light in this broken and divided world showed herself as an example of grace, poise and good humor in all things.
