Marion Daniel Butler

BUTLER, Marion Daniel, 85, went to be with the Lord Thursday, April 19, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Ellsworth Butler Jr.; son-in-law, Harry Pierce Anderson III; and cousin, Paul White and his wife, Pat. She is survived by her children, Peggy and Randy Ward, Debbie Anderson, Tim and Tom Butler; grandchildren, Christine Coddington, Cara Anderson, Cherie and Kenny Hannah, and Frankie, Michael, David, Nicholas and Alexis Butler; and great-grandchildren, Jaxson and Isabella Hannah; and also by many extended family members and friends, including those at Spring Arbor of Richmond. Born in Lynchburg, Va., on February 28, 1927, she lived her adult life in Louisville, Ky., and then Richmond, Va., where she was a longtime member of St. Bridget's Church. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 27, at the Woody Funeral Home, 1771 North Parham Rd., Richmond, Va. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, April 28, at Woody Funeral Home Chapel, followed by interment at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, 12609 Patterson Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society (http://main.acsevents.org/goto/marionbutler).
