Mary Osborne Clements, 92, passed away on May 3, 2018, peacefully at a nursing home in Maryland with both sons at her side. Born in 1925 in Greensboro, North Carolina, she was a long-time resident of Richmond, Va. She was predeceased by her parents, Carl and Elsie Osborne of Amelia County; her husband of 52 years, Preston U. Clements; and four siblings, Raymond, Harold, James and Herbert Osborne. She is survived by her two sons, James P. Clements and his wife, Cory of Wilmington, North Carolina and Thomas E. Clements of Reisterstown, Maryland; six grandchildren, Cara Clements, Blair Shepherd, Morgan Burge, Challey Mielke, Bree Harvey and Hillary Soens; 11 great-grandchildren; four siblings, Hassel Osborne (wife, Peggy), Louise Spiers, Tommy Osborne (wife, Brenda) of Amelia County and Betty Millerman (husband, Art) of Pleasant Grove, California. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and a dedicated member of Sunset Hills Baptist Church for many years.
Memorial services will be held at Woody’s Funeral Home Parham, 1771 N. Parham Road; Richmond, Virginia 23229. The visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, followed by funeral services at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2018. Interment will be at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, 12609 Patterson Avenue, Richmond, Virginia 23238.
