Mary Lou Carter, of Henrico, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Gilbert Carter and her mother, Rose Lindsey. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Mike Carter (Jennifer), Susan Carter, and Pat Hudgins (Paul); grandchildren, Kyle Hudgins and Zach and Gil Carter; brothers-in-law, Wallace “Peter” Carter (Lynn) and Carl Carter; many beloved nieces and nephews; and her special friend, B. Mae Shepherd.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., Henrico, VA 23229 where a service will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Good Shepherd UMC Youth Ministry, 9155 Hungary Rd., Henrico, VA 23294.
