DILLARD, Parker Alan, Park was born joyfully on October 2, 1964. He was sadly taken from us unexpectedly on Friday, November 10, 2023, at the age of 59. He is survived by his wife Stephanie Lacy Dillard; sons Noah and Perry Lacy, and his daughter Virginia; parents Beverly and Parker O., brothers Benjamin, Paul (Cheryl), and Russell (Missy); in-laws John and Bea Keffer, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Park was a high energy person, and very athletic. From a young age he played little league football at Kanawha Recreational Association and was a stellar member of their swim team. He spent many years at Tuckahoe Little League, where he played for the star-studded Big League Tigers, coached by his dad and Uncle Red Murray. He was a proud 1983 Douglas Freeman High School graduate, where he lettered and excelled in football, baseball, and wrestling. Park attended Elon College, playing on the football team, and transferred to VCU, where he graduated in 1989. He started his career with then Financial Group of Virginia, now Mass Mutual, where for 34 years he built lasting relationships and took care of his client's needs. Any given day, you would find Park and Steph on the Federal Club golf course or sideline supporting Noah, Perry, and Virginia's sports activities. Park loved to work in the yard, tinker in his shed, cheer on the Redskins and spend evenings talking around a fire. He would always lend a helping hand, the heavier the load, the better he liked it. He shared many wonderful vacations at the Homestead and the beach with his family, making memories we will treasure forever. He attended Mount Vernon Baptist church and played on the church softball team. His kindness and caring ways allowed him to make connections that made everyone he met feel special. To have met Parker was to love him as is shown by the many who miss him - friends, clients, neighbors, and his loving family. We love and miss you, Park.
