Peggy was born in Portsmouth, Virginia, graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School, and also proudly being selected as Miss Portsmouth. She married Marshall in 1957, and they relocated to the west end of Richmond. After raising Lisa and Bobby, she resumed her working career by being Marshall’s secretary in his law firm. They enjoyed a wonderful and playful banter-filled marriage until his unexpected passing in 1998.
After Marshall’s death, she married Clayton in 2000, and they enjoyed several years of marriage and travel until his passing in early 2017.
Peggy will always be remembered as a devoted wife to Marshall and Clayton. She was a long-time member of River Road Church Baptist, Tuckahoe Women’s Club, and Hermitage Country Club, and she enjoyed many wonderful times with family and friends.
A private funeral and graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 25, 2025. A visitation and celebration of Peggy’s life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please feel free to contribute to River Road Church Baptist or the W. Marshall Tuck Scholarship at University of Richmond Law School. Special thanks go out to the caregivers at Westmont and Synergy who provided warm and valuable assistance and friendship to Peggy in her final years.
