Ralph Scott Boggs Sr., Age 70, of Morningside at Belgrade, Midlothian, Va, and formerly of Cartersville, Va. passed away on October 1, 2016 at Retreat Hospital in Richmond, Va. after a brief illness. He was predeceased by his parents Louise F. Boggs and Karl H. Boggs, Sr. and ex-wife Leona F. Boggs. He is survived by a son, daughter and granddaughter, Ralph “Scott” Boggs Jr., Laura Elizabeth Boggs, and granddaughter Lily Daisy Boggs all of Lynchburg, Va., three brothers Karl H. Boggs Jr. (Betty) of Cartersville, John F. Boggs (Louise) of Manakin-Sabot and Charles I. Boggs of Virginia Beach, as well as numerous nephews and nieces and a lifelong friend and neighbor Bill Pleasants of Cartersville. Ralph was retired from the Va. Dept. of Corrections, James River Correctional Center in Goochland. He was a very kindhearted person who always put others first and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
