I’m really going to miss Randy.  He was a great guy with great kids.  My love and prayers go out to his family. 

I remember when we were kids, playing croquet at our Crockett grandparents' house in Bishop.  I was maybe 12 and Randy was a year younger.  I was standing about three feet behind him when it was his turn to hit his ball.  I was expecting him to just tap his ball through the wicket, but instead, he wound up for a power drive like he was going to knock the ball to the top of the ridge.  His mallet caught me right on the eyebrow on the back swing and knocked me down; it didn't quite knock me out, but I saw stars for a couple of minutes.  Over the next several days, I had the most impressive black eye, nearly swollen shut, that turned every color of the rainbow before it cleared up.  I think it must have chipped the bone because for years afterward — decades really — I could feel a little knot under that eyebrow.  I mentioned the incident to Randy a couple of years ago and he had no memory of it, but I sure do!  No hard feelings, cousin.  Rest in peace.

To the entire Crockett and Crosby families my deepest condolences for your loss.  I grew up on Homeview Dr. And knew the Crockett/Crosby clan from their West End Manor days.  Also while from a kid into high school days those long summer nights were spent at the JRT Gym and classroom as Coach Ralph ran the Summer Rec League...... Basketball, foosball,ping pong..
John Moreau and Lester Dale were the best....It was a blast and a lifetime full of memories.  Randy was also a damn good ball player....GOD BLESS YOU From Johnny Oliver.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Candy Crosby Crockett; his father, Robert Ralph Crockett; and brother, Charles Thomas Crosby. He is survived by his son, Jason Timothy Crockett; daughter, Kelly Brooke Taylor (Crockett); daughter, Jessie Michelle Crockett; son, Kevin Christopher Crockett; grandchildren, Lucas Bryant Crockett, Lucy Grace Taylor, Brandon Scott Taylor Jr., Lona Kinley Crockett; brother, Rev. Nicky Eugene Crosby; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
