

Robert “Bob” Rhodes Meacham died peacefully on August 24, 2015 at his home in Richmond, Virginia at the age of 85. Bob is survived by his sons Douglas Rhodes Meacham of Richmond, Virginia and Steven Coleman Meacham of Kaysville, Utah. He is preceded in death by his wife, Adrian Duggins Meacham and his son Robert Andrew Meacham, both of Richmond, Virginia.
Bob was born on July 18, 1930 in Laurinburg, North Carolina to William Edward Meacham, Jr. and Georgia Rhodes Meacham. Bob served as a sergeant in the United States Army and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his service in the Korean War conflict. He graduated from Richmond Professional Institute with a degree in Graphic Arts. Bob and Adrian were married, September 7, 1957. After moving to Richmond, Bob worked in the graphic arts and corporate communications field for many years, including most notably with the Life Insurance Company of Virginia and Aon Corporation. Aside from his professional career, Bob was an accomplished and well-known artist of landscapes, portraits, and still life subject matter.
A funeral is scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, August 29, 2015 at St. Matthews Episcopal Church, 1101 Forest Ave, Richmond, VA 23229 with a reception to follow. Rev. Mario Gonzales will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Bob’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider a donation to the Michael J.
