Robert Royse McLaughlin

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Evelyn McLaughlin; his daughters, Linda Mashack and her husband Peter, and Barbara Colo and her husband Stephen; his sister, Elizabeth Gerber; grandchildren, Elizabeth Farber and her husband Christopher Alburger, Emily Davidson and her husband Neal, Hagan Colo and his wife Erica, Catrina Bonus and her husband Brian, Nikki Blythe and her husband Kevin, John Mashack, Molly Mashack, and Paul Mashack; great grandchildren, Sam Alburger, Erin Alburger, Russell Davidson, Sally Davidson, Claire Colo, Charles Colo, Adalyn Bonus, Lindsey Blythe and Jacob Blythe.

He served in the Navy during World War II in the South Pacific and retired from the Otis Elevator Company after working 41 years as an engineer. Mr. McLaughlin was a Mason. He was a golf enthusiast who loved the New York Giants.

A Memorial service will be held at 1pm, on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the Parham Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N Parham Rd, Richmond, Va., 23229. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Community Care, LLC 10128 W. Broad St, Suite J, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
