Rodney Evans Lee was born on December 4, 1956 and departed suddenly on July 11, 2025 (68 years old). He is preceded in death by his parents Aubrey Evans Lee and Margie Louise Hughes Lee Dowdy. His loyal companion Benji Dowdy. He is survived by his brother Michael Wayne Lee (Connie) and Julie and Christopher Mills, (Niece) Michael Lee (Nephew) and Alania Lee (Kansas). Also, his sister Janet Lee Barker (Clyde) and sons Thomas Berry (Ashley) and Joey Barker (Lisa). His uncle Jay Hughes (June) of Chesterfield. His friend James Wood (Carley) that Bubba has known for years. He lives behind many friends, co-workers, members of his church.
Bubba enjoyed riding his motorcycles with family and friends and love to cruise around in his car listening to music. He and his nephew Thomas enjoy going to the shooting range and talking about their knowledge of guns. He loved his family, and this was evident in the years of being a caregiver for his mother Margie. His gentleness and devotion to her are no words that could describe the bond they both shared. Bubba worked hard during his life and had retired and decided to go back to working full time with the dealership as a driver. He enjoyed attending the Drag Strip and Tractor Pulls and you could find him enjoying these events on the weekends. He loved to cook and enjoyed trying new recipes with family. He recently became a member of the Hatcher Baptist Church and dedicated his life in November 2024. This was a joyful day and his heart was complete.
He will be truly missed as he was a light that burned bright whenever he came into a room and now that light has faded. I am honored and proud to have the opportunity to love, cherish, and respect my brother. His life was taken too quickly, however; all that had the opportunity to know him are truly grateful. This is not the last time that we will see our dear brother. We all know our time is short here, but we will be together shortly and then our sadness will no longer be, and we all will be reunited just like in the days of our youth. He would not want us to be sad but to remember all the wonderful times and memories we can share with others that may not have had the opportunity to know and love him the way our family did. The family will receive family and friends on July 24th at Woody's Funeral Home on Parham Rd. from 3:00 to 7:00 pm and Funeral Service will begin at 3:00 pm on July 25th.
