Steve moved to several midwestern cities before settling in Richmond, VA. He graduated from the University of Richmond in 1979 and the University of Richmond School of Law in 1982. He then began his career in the Title Insurance business, quickly becoming President of Heritage Title Company of Virginia. Steve loved his work, clients, staff and associates. He worked long hours, as his work brought him purpose, joy and community.
Steve was an avid sports fan, particularly of Spider basketball and football and his long suffering Cubs and Bears. He was a history buff and could engage in a discussion about almost anything because he kept up with the news, pop culture, and sports. He loved rock and roll music, concerts, playing basketball, Irish exits, reading, a KA tailgate, movies, Italian food, a good steak, fishing, his dogs and his family.
A reception for friends and family will be held at the University of Richmond on Wednesday, April 15, 4:00 at The Robins Stadium, Reception Suite 300, 371 College Road. Feel free to show your Spider spirit through your attire. In lieu of flowers, we ask for donations to the University of Richmond Spider Athletic Fund in Steve's memory.
