Sue Holland Williams – a long time resident of Richmond passed away on the morning of January 11th, 2012. Sue was born October 2, 1929 in Raleigh, NC. She was the loving daughter of Margaret Perry Thornton and William Sterling Thornton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pat, in August of 1999. She leaves behind a loving family that includes her two sons, David and Tim, their wives Elizabeth and Cheryl as well as grandchildren Rebecca, Katie, Grace, Seth and Troy and great granddaughter Giuliana. She also leaves behind an extended family and many treasured friends across Richmond.
The family will receive friends at the Parham Road Woody Funeral Home Friday evening, January 13, 2012 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. There will be a funeral service at Battery Park Christian Church, on Brook Road, at noon on Saturday. Interment will follow at the Westhampton Memorial Park.
