I knew Virginia for almost forty years, here in New York and when I was a guest in the Virginia home she shared with Nick for so long. 

She was a kind and uplifting human being, always with a welcoming smile and word. 

She will stay in my heart  very long time.

To Kay and Julie-
 I am so sorry to hear about your Mom- Virginia was a great friend to my Mom, Audrey Ling, and was wonderful about sending her the best cards that would cheer her up every time she read them!
I would occasionally talk to her on the phone while helping Mom 
stay in touch, and she was always sharp and funny! 
I know you will miss her a great deal.

 Julie and Kay, our deepest sympathies for the loss of your mom.  We pray for you as you mourn.

I  am grateful to have become a friend of Miss Virginia through her cat, Shadow.  We would visit, talk, share chocolates, etc .   As the Valentine fairy, Easter bunny and so on, there were always treats/sweets left for her to enjoy.    I loved to knit for her, it was so fun to give her something handmade .   She was  a great friend and neighbor. 

She will be sorely missed.
