William T. Holder “Bill” was born September 23, 1938 in San Antonio, Texas. He went home to be with the Lord on April 10, 2019. Mr. Holder is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ruth Joanna Holder; his son, John (Deborah); two daughters, Deanna and Aleta; five grandchildren, Brandon, Shayne, Journey, Dylan, Amanda, and Jake. He is also survived by his sister, Helen Parker; brother-in-law, Ralph (Vonnie) Broadston, and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, William C. Holder “Billy;” his parents, William F. Holder and Mary Louise; and sister, Jackie Broadston.
Bill went to St. Mary’s University in Texas and earned his degree in education. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and graduated officer training school. He retired from his military career in the Army National Guard.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 30 at Woody Funeral Home – Parham Chapel from 5 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held the following day in the funeral home chapel at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn.
