Alfreda Jackson

Alfreda Jackson was born in Lafayette, LA on July 31, 1920 to Virginia and Lucien Goodie. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Home Economics from Leland College in Baker, LA. She continued her education and received a Masters degree in elementary education. She was an active member of Delta Sigma Theta.

Alfreda Jackson married to John H. Jackson until his decease in 1984. From this union, she had one daughter Patricia Martin. Alfreda lived in Los Angeles until 2004. Alfreda taught at Roosevelt Elementary School where she worked until her retirement. In 2004, Alfreda moved to Brandon, MS with life partner Fred Seals. Alfreda loved cooking good food, socializing, traveling, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Alfreda Rose Jackson leaves to cherish her sweet memories: her life partner, Fred Seals. Her daughter, Patricia Martin. Her grandsons, Brian Christopher McFarland and Jerome Lewis Martin. Her great-granddaughters, Mariah McFarland, Vanessa McFarland, Natassja Santilllian, Jaidyn Ahni Martin, and Tye Martin. Her great, great grandchildren, Kaycen Dixon and Kingston Jones.
