Billy Lee Childress

Billy Lee Childress, “Mr. B” 75, of Jackson, Mississippi, passed away July 25, 2015 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. 11:00 a.m. on July 28, 2015 with services starting at 11:00 a.m. at Parkway Funeral Home, 1161 Highland Colony Parkway, Ridgeland, MS 39157.

Mr. B was born on June 14, 1940 in Ackerman, Mississippi to Mr. and Mrs. Austin Childress. Mr. B. was born the eldest of three children.

Mr. B. began working for J.C “Cowboy” and Dolly Maloney, 47 years later he is still employed with the Maloney’s and has become a fixture of the family.

In everything he did, he made sure to do it in his own stubborn, special way. He was a lover of all animals and loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren with a passion.

Mr. B. was preceded in death by his parents Austin Childress and Lemma Vanlandingham Childress.

Mr. B. is survived by his only child Billy Lee Childress, II (Prudie) of Florence, MS, his sister, Linda (Ray) Childress Crowe of Ackerman, MS, brother, Charles Childress (Theresa) of Goliad Texas, Granddaughter Aliya Rudd “Miss May” (Eric), Great-Granddaughter Andrea Martin, Great-Grandson Harrison all of Richland, MS, Granddaughter, April Jarman (Virgil), and Great-Granddaughters, Lexi, Valeri and Tori Jarman of Richland, MS
