Catherine was born in High Point, MS on April 19, 1925 to Effie and Oscar Burton. She married Leo Tucker, and together they had three children, Elmer, Michael (Mike) and Donna. She was a homemaker and loved her family and her animals. Catherine was a member of the Baptist faith.
Catherine is survived by her son, Michael (Judy) of Flora; her daughter, Donna Kaye (Steve) of Bentonia; five grandchildren, Jason (Ashley) Tucker, Deanna (William) Tyer, Beth (John) Tackett, Jennifer (Chris) Beasley, and Candace (Trey)Burton; eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Pauline Varnell of Flora and Patricia (Charles) Fondren of Ackerman. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leo; her son, Elmer, and eight siblings.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 8th at 2:00 pm at Parkway Funeral Home in Ridgeland. Visitation will be held prior from 12:00 to 2:00 pm. Burial will be at Flora City Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made in Catherine’s name to Martha Cocker Greenhouses in Yazoo City, MS.
