Mr. Cecil D. Wilkinson

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday from the Ridgeland Chapel of Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow the service in Lakewood Cemetery.

He was born in Jackson on January 21, 1936 to Lucile Hammett Wilkinson and Elmer C. Wilkinson. He spent his younger years in Shreveport, LA then moving back to Jackson in 1952. He was a 1954 graduate of Central High School. After Graduation he married Faye Ashley and enjoyed 54 wonderful years together. He was a devoted husband, loving father, doting grandfather and foolishly in love with his great-granddaughter. He was Vice President of Day Detectives until retiring in 2003.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 nephews Clay and Rainey Ashley.

He is survived by his wife Faye of Brandon; two sons Monty Wilkinson and wife Tammy and their children Matthew, Bradley and J.T. of Brandon; son Mitch Wilkinson and his wife Valerie and their children Ryan and Allie of Ridgeland, MS; one daughter Marti Lett and husband Robert and their children Joseph and Brittney of Brandon and one great-granddaughter Emma Grace Lett of Brandon. He also survived by two brothers Glynn Wilkinson and his wife Margot and Fred Wilkinson both of California; one brother-in-law Joe C. Ashley and wife Sandy of Poplarville and one nephew and one niece.
