

Charlie was born in New Orleans, LA on December 16, 1949, to Mildred and Harry Carlson. He attended Baton Rouge High School and Louisiana State University.
Charlie married Gail in April of 1990, and she was the love of his life. He worked as a sales representative until he retired in 2020. During his career he called on the finest men’s clothing stores throughout the southeast and made many long-lasting friendships. Charlie had an excellent sense of style and was always well-dressed. He loved his family deeply and had a heart of gold. He enjoyed cooking and feeding his family and friends. Charlie was a master of the grill, and he was always smiling, laughing, and playing good music while he cooked. Charlie also loved sports and was a very passionate fan of his LSU Tigers.
Charlie is survived by his wife, Gail; his stepchildren; Chad (Vanessa) Lindsley, Dawn (Chris) Parrow, Kelly (Jon) McIntosh; grandchildren; Eric Lindsley, Ashton Lindsley, Landon Parrow, Gavin Parrow, Phinley McIntosh, Palmer McIntosh; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A graveside service will be held at Parkway Memorial Cemetery on Monday, May 11th at 2:00 pm.
