Dona "Jean" Price King

Dona Jean Price King passed away on November 30, 2022, at the age of 89 in Jackson, Mississippi. She is the daughter of Louie Ray Price, Sr., and Quinnie Dorothy Parrette Price.
She was born and raised in Carpenter, Mississippi, with her dog, Jackie, always by her side. She attended Hinds Community College and worked as a secretary and accountant in Jackson for many years. She attended Alta Woods Baptist Church where she enjoyed working with young children on Sundays at the Church. She enjoyed gardening, reading her Bible and spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ray and Quinnie Price; her husband of 63 years, Thomas Emerson King, Jr., and her brother Louie Ray Price, Jr. She is survived by two children, Thomas Emerson King, III (Tammie) of Brandon, MS, Dona Carole King of Jackson, MS; three grandchildren: Cara Leigh Shank of Jackson, MS, Jason Thomas King (Julie) of Huntsville, Alabama, and Anna Laura King of Brandon, MS; four great-grandchildren: Chase Lawson and Jayden Shank (both of Jackson, MS), Anne Evans King and Darby Emerson King (both of Huntsville, AL), and her beloved cat, Luna.
There will be a graveside service on Friday, December 2, 2022, at 2:30 p.m. at the Carpenter Cemetery in Carpenter, MS. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Carpenter Cemetery Fund, Clifford Strong, 2010 Hurricane Road, Hermanville, MS 39086 (receipt if needed)
