Elliot Michael Marks, 79, passed away Monday, Sept. 29, 2014. Visitation will be held 12:00pm to 2:00pm Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014, at Parkway Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 2:00pm Thursday, followed by entombment at Parkway Memorial Cemetery, Trinity Mausoleum.
Michael was born Jan. 26, 1935 in Bogalusa, LA to Isadore and Marguerite Marks. After high school, he attended Tulane University and then Mississippi College where he received his law degree. He began his career and practiced for over 50 years.
Michael was a member and usher for St. Peter's Cathedral in Jackson. He loved reading, especially religious and spiritual books, as well as watching football, cheering on the Saints and MSU. He also enjoyed his time spent with W.E. Gore Coffee Club.
He is survived by his wife, Carmen K. Marks, three children, three great grandchildren, one niece, one nephew, and many friends and relatives.
Memorials may be made to St. Peter's Cathedral, Diabetes Foundation, or the American Heart Association.
