Edith Smith was born in Yazoo City, MS on June 9, 1937 to Willie Bell Bounds Fedrick and William Lenard Fedrick. She worked as a quality assurance inspector for Regal Ware and MultiCraft. Edith loved working with her flowers and spending time with her family.
Edith married William Clarence Smith and together they had four children, William Stanley Smith (Patricia), Pataricia Dianne Edwards (Anthony), Deborah Sue Weisenberger (Charles) and David Lynn Smith (Beverly). She was blessed with 10 grandchildren, Renee’ Beard, Jeremy Smith, Christy Rogers, Micael Edwards, Timothy Edwards, Tony Edwards, Lindsey Edmonds, Chuck Weisenberger, Morgan Smith Morgan, and Mickie Young, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild.
Edith is survived by her sisters, Alma Faye Lester (Tommy), Peggy Ashker (Joseph), and her brother Chester Fedrick (Lucy). She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, William Clarence Smith, her son, William Stanley Smith, her daughter-n-law, Patricia Smith, her brother, William Kennith Fedrick, her sister Barbara Jean Green, and her brother-n-law, Bobby Green, Sr.
Funeral services will be held at Parkway Funeral Home, Ridgeland, MS on Tuesday January 8, 2019 at 11:00. Visitations for Edith Mae Smith will be held at Parkway Funeral Home on Monday, January 7, 2019 from 5:30 – 8:00 pm and Tuesday, January 8, 2019 from 10:00 – 11:00 am. Graveside services will follow at Flora City Cemetery.
The family would like to say a special thanks to George Purvis for his love and attention given to Edith these past eleven years. He has been and always will be a part of this family. They are also grateful to Gay Trummell and Cynthia Lewis for their assistance in caring for Edith this past year.
