Fred Clark Henderson, Jr.

Fred passed away October 26, 2020. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Betty; 3 children – Becky Little (Larry), David (Angela), and Todd (Jenny); 6 grandchildren – Kimberly Runyan, Matthew Little (Jenn), Hayley Henderson, Dylan Henderson, John Robert Henderson and Hayes Henderson; 4 great-grandchildren – Cade Runyan, Maddie Runyan, Hudson Little and Dean Little.

Fred was born in Daleville, Mississippi but lived most of his younger years in Meridian. He graduated from Meridian High School and Meridian Junior College. He later lived I several cities in Mississippi before moving to Jackson in 1967. The moves were all transfers with his employer of 42 years, Associates Commercial Corporation.

He was an active member of Woodlands Hills Baptist Church in Jackson for over 50 years, serving as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, treasurer and other positions. Fred was also active in Jackson business circles serving on the board of directors of Mississippi Trucking Association and YMCA. He also served as a coach in the Boys Baseball program.

A private, family graveside service will be held at Parkway Memorial Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers are Hurdle Henderson, Bill Swan and Lonnie Welch.
