He was the son of the late Rose Lee and John Henry Patterson. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Edna.
Henry was born in Water Valley, MS and lived in Starkville, but has lived in Jackson for the past 56 years. He retired from Vickers Inc. and is a Mason and Shriner. He served in the Army Air Corp during World War II.
Henry is survived by his two sons, John Henry, wife Elizabeth Ann, and Charles Wiley, wife Mary Jane. He has six grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
A wake will be held at Parkway Funeral Home on Friday, December 5, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Services will be held at Parkway Funeral Home on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 10:00 am, with a visitation held prior from 9:00 until service time. Burial will follow at 3:00 pm at Oddfellow Cemetery in Starkville, MS.
In lieu of flowers, his sons ask that donations be made to Hospice Ministries.
