

Jack Fredrick Davidson passed away December 15, 2012 surrounded by his family. He was 84 years old. Jack was born December 28, 1927 in Georgia. His family originated from Jasper County, Georgia. Jack received a bachelors and masters degree from University of Florida. He served in the United States Army in the Korean War.
Jack spent his early adult life in Bradenton, FL he was a real estate broker. He retired from Sperry and Hutchinson as a personnel manager, a career that brought him to Georgia, South Carolina and Texas. He was active in the Kiwanis International, having received Kiwanian of the Year both in Bradenton, FL and Fort Worth, TX. A man of strong faith and conviction, Jack was active in Bible Study Fellowship and taught Sunday School for many years. Jack served as a deacon at First Baptist Church Bradenton, Sagamore Hill Baptist Church in Fort Worth and First Baptist Colleyville. In recent years, Mr. Davidson was active in The Gideons International until his death. In Madison, Jack was a member of Broadmoor Baptist Church. Jack was involved in sports throughout his life and was an avid tennis player and golfer. In Florida, Jack was President of the Bradenton Tennis Club.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Edith Davidson, brother James "Jim" Davidson and sister Jeanne Davidson. Jack is survived by Dortha (Parker) his wife of 54 years and brother William B. Davidson of Wheaton, IL. He has three sons, Stephen Fredrick and wife Clay of Ridgeland, MS; Mark Edward and wife Jan of Colleyville, TX; and John Lee and wife Marisa of Madison MS. He was devoted to his six grandchildren, Brittany Lyse and Lauren Elizabeth Davidson, Colleyville, TX, John Clayton and Mary Parker Davidson, Ridgeland, MS and Marisa Lee "Malee" and Ty Hafford Davidson, Madison, MS. Jack is also survived by a host of neices and nephews. Mr. Davidson and his wife moved to Madison, Mississippi to be near family and grandchildren. He will be missed by many friends in Fort Worth, Texas.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Wright & Ferguson on Highland Colony from 4:00 -6:00 pm. The family will hold graveside services in Murray, Kentucky. Memorials may be made to The Gideons International.
