Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2021 at Parkway Funeral Home in Ridgeland, MS at 2:00 pm, with visitation from 12:00 to 2:00 pm.
Jean was born to Jeff David and Iva Lusk Reynolds on August 11, 1936, in Attala County, MS.
In 1957 Jean met her husband over a watermelon at the Kroger in Greenwood, MS. They married the following year.
Jean patterned her life after the scripture in Titus 2:3-5. Her devotion to her husband and his success was foremost in her thoughts and actions; her children were always second to him as is taught. Jean lived in Mississippi, Illinois, Florida, and Texas as Charles’ career required, and always she established a comfortable home for her husband and children in every new setting.
Competitive in everything she attempted, Jean was an excellent cook and seamstress but a sore loser in board games and card games. She thoroughly enjoyed Bible study, reading, thread-count, and most of all, making new friends and visiting with old friends.
Jean joins her husband, Charles, and their son, Tim, in Heaven and her brother, Kenneth Reynolds, sisters LaVerne Heslep and Helen Duckworth Burttschell. It was a joyous reunion!
Jean leaves behind her daughter, Stacy (David), and her son, Charles (Karen).
Also, she leaves five grandchildren to carry on her legacy, Jordan (Kimber) Riley, Eric Riley, Courtney Bobo Coggswell (Will), Charles Bobo, and Sydney Bobo; and two great-granddaughters, Camden and Brooklyn Riley.
We want to extend a special thank you for the love and care Castlewoods Place gave to Mom over the past six years, especially Sheila, Rochelle, Leona, (both) Carolyns, and numerous others.
Therefore don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:34.
