John William Dawson, 83, of Clinton, MS, was born in Hinds County, MS on May 16, 1932 and departed this life on June 23, 2015. Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday June 26, 2015 at Parkway funeral Home in Ridgeland. Visitation will be 5-7pm Thursday and 10am Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Brownsville Cemetery, in Brownsville, MS.
He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a retired used auto parts salesman. Mr. Dawson was predeceased by his wife, Frances Duncan Dawson, by a son, W. Bruce Dawson, parents, W. A. and Alma Dawson, two sisters, Agnes Dawson and Edwina Grisham, and one brother, Hilton Dawson.
He is survived by a son, Randal D. and Sandra Dawson of Birmingham, AL, two daughters, Dawn Dawson and Chris Barrett of Tylertown, and Michele Dawson and Charles M. Stevens, Jr. of Pearl, and a daughter-in-law, Renee’ Dawson of Pearl, eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parkway Funeral Home, Ridgeland, MS.
