Kathleen C Settlemire

Kathleen was born in Canton, Mississippi on May 6, 1925 to Maggie and Fred Johnson. She later attended Hughes High School in Hughes, Arkansas, where she met and married David Reid Crow, III. Together they had four children, David Reid Crow, IV, John Frederick Crow, Kathy Lynn Crow and Charles Richard (Ricky) Crow.

She worked for Deposit Guaranty Bank as a bank teller, retiring in 1989. She was a member of First Baptist Church Madison, Mississippi, where, at the age of 75, she met and married her second husband, James Harold Settlemire.

She is survived by her son, John Crow of Fernandina Beach, Florida; daughter, Kathy Holmes of Madison, Mississippi; grandchildren, Brannen Crow, John David Crow, Matthew Whitehead, Austin Crow, and Carter Holmes; and two great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, David R. Crow, III; sons, David R. Crow, IV and Charles Richard Crow; and second husband, James Harold Settlemire.

Kathleen will be laid to rest at Lakewood South Memorial Park in Jackson, Mississippi (430 McCluer Road). There will be a private service for the family on Friday, February 17, 2023.

The family wishes to express appreciation to her caregivers from Golden Miles Sitter Service and Covenant Caregivers, as well as the staff at Parkway Health and Rehabilitation for their loving care in the past year.
