

Linda Jane Henson Gosa, age 82, of Jackson, MS, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 12, 2026, following a brief illness at Baptist Hospital. Born on November 21, 1943, in Smithville, MS, Linda was the beloved daughter of Reba and Lee Roy Henson.
Linda graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1962, where she was an active member of the Glee Club and served as the scorekeeper for the boys' and girls' basketball teams. On August 26, 1962, she married the love of her life, Duane LaVonn Gosa, at Southside Baptist Church in Aberdeen, MS, beginning a loving partnership that lasted a lifetime.
Linda is survived by her devoted husband, Duane LaVonn Gosa, and her children: Michael (Cindy) Gosa, Tina (Patrick) Redfearn, and Kristie (Jonathan) Tabor. She was a cherished grandmother to Jordan (Shawn) Kridler, Sam (Amanda) Redfearn, Anna Katherine (Andrew) Wiley, Bailey Tabor, Walker Gosa, and Riley Tabor, and a proud great-grandmother to Everett Tyler Redfearn. Linda is also survived by her only remaining sister, Rebecca Williams, as well as a multitude of nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Allie Jane and Irvin Booth, and Lillie Belle and David Henson, her parents, Reba and Lee Roy Henson, sisters, Betty Cowley, Doris Brasfield, and Louise Massey.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Parkway Funeral Home, located at Highland Colony Parkway, Ridgeland, MS 39157. The service will be officiated by her nephew, Matthew Williams.
Pallbearers include Michael Gosa, Patrick Redfearn, Jonathan Tabor, Sam Redfearn, Bailey Tabor, Walker Gosa, Shawn Kridler, and Andrew Wiley.
Visitation will take place at Parkway Funeral Home from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., prior to the service. A graveside service will follow immediately at Parkway Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an organization close to Linda's heart.
Linda will be remembered for her love and dedication to family, and her kind and generous spirit. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
