Richard Frank Riddle, Sr., 91, beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather transitioned to his eternal home on Sunday, June 1, 2025. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 3, 2025 from 12 until 2 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home in Ridgeland. Funeral and burial services will immediately follow.
Richard was born June 6,1933 in Ingomar, Mississippi to the late Jamie Riddle and Sarah Haynes Riddle McMillen. In 1952, he married the love of his life, Elsie Steppe Riddle. They had a son, Richard Frank “Dick” Riddle, Jr. and a daughter Debbie Riddle Bradberry. The family moved to Jackson in 1966. Richard and Elsie joined Broadmoor Baptist Church shortly after coming to Jackson, and he remained an active member until his death.
Richard was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time at his lake house on Eagle Lake, a good Western movie, and above all, spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and his wife.
He is survived by his son Dick (Kim), daughter Debbie (Randall), ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
