Visitation will be at Parkway Funeral Home in Ridgeland, Mississippi on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with the funeral service immediately following in the chapel. Sal will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Cemetery.
Sal was born on August 13, 1936 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Joseph and Esther Chetta Todaro. He owned Sal & Phil’s in Ridgeland for many years. Sal loved all football, but the LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints had a special place in his heart. He enjoyed golfing and traveling, especially cruises.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Esther Todaro; his first wife, Patsy; brother, Anthony Joseph Todaro; and sister, Rosemary LeMasters.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Ramona Todaro; son, Salvador Todaro, Jr. (Stephanie); stepchildren, Stacy Netherland (Sam Wong), and Kim Deere Whitman (Peter); sisters, Geraldyn Wimberly (Foster) and Mary Jane Yarborough; grandchildren, Jason, Connor, Anne Marie, Hayden, Grayson, Harlie, Karina, Korān, and Korāna; sisters-in-law, Brenda Carite (Louie) and Deborah Hutchins; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers are Adam Lester, Connor Todaro, Jason Todaro, Peter Whitman and Sam Wong.
