Bob graduated from Canton High School. He studied Mortuary Science at John A. Gupton College in Nashville, Tennessee and worked in the field for several years before using his culinary skills professionally. He adapted many of his mother’s recipes and served three meals per day from a jack up barge. Captains frequently requested Bob’s homemade rolls and desserts. Bob later worked for Chisesi Brothers Meat Packing Company in New Orleans and appreciated a close relationship with the Chisesi family.
In 2003, Bob bought a house in New Orleans that was divided into four apartments. He lived in one, leased three, and developed an especially caring community with his tenants. His family appreciates the support Julia, Maureen, and Crystal gave Bob in his illness. Bob made good, lasting friendships throughout his life. He loved his garden and his dogs. Bob had an extraordinary sense of humor and enjoyed giving his friends and family a laugh.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. John 14:3 NKJV
