Steven Patton

Steve was born on September 5, 1953, in Quitman, Ms. He graduated from Marion Military Institute in Marion, Al, in 1971. In 1975, he graduated from Mississippi State University, where he was a member of Kappa Alpha Order. Steve worked in the Commercial Banking Industry in the Metro Jackson area for 37 years, retiring from Community Bank of Mississippi in January of 2014. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Madison.

Steve is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 39 years, Jean Anne Campbell Patton. He is also survived by his daughter, Julia Critz Patton Lake, two grandchildren, Walker Patton Lake and Anne Campbell Lake, all of Madison, Ms; and his brother, Leroy (Roy) Dowe Patton III, and his wife Carol Jane (CJ) of Brandon, Ms. Other survivors include, nieces, Laura Patton of Brandon, Ms, and Ginny Patton Sargeant, and her husband, Cris, of Guilford Surrey, England; aunts, Mrs. Clinton Lavell (Doodle) Ivey of Jackson, Ms, and Mrs. R.W. (Patra) Dabbs of Richland, Wa.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Dowe Patton, Jr. (Hazel) of Quitman, Ms.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, at Parkway Funeral Home on Highland Colony Parkway in Ridgeland, Ms. A Service and Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. Dr. John A. Temple of Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church in Meridian, Ms, will officiate the ceremony.
