
Mr. Ted Johnson Webb passed away surrounded by family on January 15, 2026. Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, January 18, at Parkway Funeral Home in Ridgeland, Mississippi followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, January 19 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Louisville, Mississippi.
Ted was born in Louisville on August 9, 1932 to Maude Marie Clement and Earl Johnson Webb. He attended the University of Mississippi, where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon and graduated from the School of Pharmacy in 1955. He married Patricia Wilson of Louisville and moved to Yazoo City where he was the owner of Webb‘s Pharmacy on Main Street.
Ted had a generous heart and a kind spirit. He is remembered by all as being a true gentleman. Through the years he led many organizations including the Rotary Club, the Ole Miss Alumni Chapter, and the Yazoo County Chamber of Commerce. He sang in the choir at First Methodist Church and was in the Manchester Academy Hall of Fame.
Ted is survived by his children Ted Webb, Jr. (Sarah) of Hattiesburg, Diane Hewlett (Richard) of Starkville, and Frank Webb (Dee) of Oxford; grandchildren, Caroline Clark
(Grant) of Nashville, Tennessee, Julia Webb of Hattiesburg, Hayes (Molly) Hewlett of Starkville, John Kyle Hewlett (Heather) of Madison, Meme Hughes (David) of Starkville, Rich Hewlett (Athena) of Starkville, Elizabeth Ford (Ben) of Madison and Anne Rush (Logan) of Meridian. He had fourteen great grandchildren: Hardy, Libba, Annie, Kennedy, Finley, Bonner, Browning, Woods, Ann Kendall, Reed, James, Henry, Ella and Charlie. He had two great great grandchildren: Lawson and Miller. He was predeceased by his loving wife Pat of 67 years and his grandson Webb Hewlett.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The First Methodist Church of Yazoo City, Highland Colony Baptist Church of Ridgeland, or St. Catherine’s Village.
