Barry Lynn Keffer Sr.

Barry Lynn Keffer, Sr., 58, of Martinsville, died Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at the Gulfside Hospice Home in Hudson, Florida. He was born in Martinsville on December 16, 1956, to the late James David Keffer and Margaret Joyce Keffer. Barry had worked for the Henry Restaurant where he was a cook for more than six years before becoming disabled. Barry had worked in food service most of his life and enjoyed baking cakes and doing catered events.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Sherry Marie Keffer (Shumate) Jenkins and William Ronald “Ronnie” Keffer.

Surviving are one daughter, LaKeisha Faye Keffer McCray of Greensboro, NC., one son, Barry L “B.J. Keffer, Jr., of Martinsville, adopted daughter Gina Lubertazzi of Martinsville, one brother, Timothy Clyde Keffer of Martinsville, two grandchildren, Tommy Keffer and Heaven McCray, one step grandchild, Fabio Niblett, several aunts and uncles, cousins, and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his best friend, Jackie Harvell and family who took such great care of Barry during his illness.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the Celebration of Life Service which will be held 12:00 Noon Wednesday April 22, 2015 in the Community Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Brad Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park.
