Willard Carroll Gregory

Willard Carroll Gregory, 56, of Axton, died Monday, March 4, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Martinsville on October 14, 1956 to the late William Marshall “Willie” Gregory and Christine Moore Gregory of Axton. He was a truck driver for more than twenty eight years and an avid Bluegrass Musician. Willard is the brother to Nashville County and Bluegrass recording artist Clinton Gregory.

In addition to his mother he is survived by one daughter, Mary Lynn Gregory of Ridgeway, one son, Jamie Willard Gregory of Axton, one sister, Mildred “Me Me” Gregory of Axton, brother, Clinton Gregory of Nashville, TN, and four grandchildren.

Community Funeral Service of Ridgeway will be handling the funeral services which will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, March 8, 2013 in the chapel of McKee-Stone Funeral Home of Martinsville, with Rev. Joe Stanley officiating, internment will be in Patrick Memorial Gardens in Stuart, VA. The family will receive friends 6-8 P.M. Thursday March 7, 2013 in the chapel of McKee-Stone Funeral Home of Martinsville.
