Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure.  You are loved beyond words & missed beyond measure!! You were a awesome little kid that was growing up to be a fine young man. You’re life was cut short.  You still had so much more to offer this world. You made so many happy!  I am so proud of you. It hurts so much that you’re gone!! I love you! From what I knew of him, Anthony was such an amazing kid. He always wore the brightest smile on his face and did the goofiest things to make people laugh. I remember seeing him at harada park one day. It had been about a year since I had seen him taking he moved schools. him and I just talked. Weather it was about school, life. Anything to keep the conversation going. He was a bright kid. He had a wonderful future ahead of him. I hope he’s happy in heaven and skating to his hearts content. -McKenna Backstrom

Anthony was without a doubt one of the most caring and outgoing guys I’ve met. I’d walk into class all mad or upset and right away he would have me laughing and feeling better. Whether it was skating or going on crazy adventures in the river bottom Anthony always made things fun. He had a huge impact on my life and I’ll always be grateful to have had him as my friend. I met Anthony in project skills class and he came up to me with his slicked back hair and a polo and handed me a phone and said “bro I found this phone can you charge it for me I wanna talk to this girl” and I was thinking, I’ve never met this kid in my life and he wants me to take this phone and charge it for him? I put it in my backpack and told him I would and it took me three days to remember to charge it and it seemed like he somehow found me every passing period to ask me about it. We eventually started talking in that class and me him and Gianni became good friends in like no time and we’re always hanging out with eachother.There are so many good memories with ant and it seemed like every day was a new good memory.  

 Anthony was a wonderful person with a big heart. He was always so protective of his family members and friends and would always put others feelings and emotions first. Anthony always knew how to make you laugh and always knew how to cheer you up when you were feeling down, he always showed the brighter side of every situation. I wish I could’ve hugged him one last time and had the chance to say goodbye before he left. He was the light of my life and the one I loved most. We used to talk about settling down some day and used our imaginations talking about bright ideas for the future. He was the most loving and respectable person I knew and because of who he was and what he did he will forever be missed and never forgotten. You left an in print on the Zavala  Families heart ..We had the pleasure of having you in our home . Playing video games with your buddies Jacob & Victor  or  going skateboarding with Jacob . You were a very respectful young man when ever you came over, always  with Thank yous ..you stood out Anthony..
