Debbie was born in San Bernardino, California on July 24th, 1948. Debra’s mother passed when she was 2 years old, so she was raised by her grandparents.
After graduation, she married her highschool sweetheart, Richard Armor. Sadly, Rick succumbed to cancer shortly after their marriage.
She subsequently met and married Henry Jones. They started a family with 3 children: Christina (Tina), Kenneth (Kenny), and Richard (Mike).
After divorcing; Debbie married and then she later divorced Fr. Louis Gunty and they had two sons: David and John.
Debbie was a true philomath and always sought to study scripture; which manifested in studying Judaism and ancient Biblical History. Debbie taught children’s Sunday School in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. That said, her greatest joy was being a full time Mom. Therefore the ideal occupation for her for a number of years was as a home daycare provider. Because of her generous nature, many families were helped without concern for compensation. When she was not caring for children, Debbie would tutor piano and serve as an ADA aide for adults and college students with physical impairments.
After her children were mostly grown, she started a new career and then retired as an Administrative Assistant for Riverside Sheriff's Department.
Debbie loved nature, rocks, flowers, and the beach. All her life she avoided conflict with a focus on peace and love. She would counsel and care for all she encountered. Her hobbies were writing, drawing, painting, piano, guitar, singing, studying history, and most of all caring for others.
Debra Rae Gunty is survived by her five children (Tina, Ken, Mike, David, John), and nine grandchildren (Chris, Joe, Shae, Ezekiel, Quinlan, Elena, Hunter, Madison, Abigail)
