Doris Mawn was my favorite teacher at RCC. She was a wonderful beautiful person inside and out. She had a warm inviting gentle spirit always had a smile and was fashionably dressed. I was blessed to have been in several classes that she taught and I was in one her brochures for medical assisting and transcription several years ago. She had a real interest in helping her students. She took pride in her work. I remember she used to give me extra transcription tapes for me to practice on and gave me the latest medical and pharmacy books that she had more than one of. She assisted in giving references to students for jobs. She was a loving caring person. At the end of each semester she would tell me Debra you don't have to give me a gift every time the semester ends. I would explain to her how much I appreciate everything she has done for me and I wanted to do something nice for her. I would either give her gift cards,or bracelet necklace set or her favorite Sees Dark chocolates with a card. She has been a tremendous blessing in my life. I am so grateful to have had a caring teacher. I tried to visit her a few times and was not able to find her and I thought she may have retired. May Jesus protect and bless the Mawn family in every area of your lives; as he surrounds all of you with his love and care; as we prepare and await his return and promises. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Aunt Doris was a wonderful person - she will be missed.  She was a caring person & nurse, making an impression on many.

Dearest Doris,
 I will always remember what a wonderful friend you were to me and all of the other people around you. You were kind and caring and always trying to help. I will also remember all of the times we spent together and all of places we visited and activities we participated in.  You will be dearly remember and greatly missed. I will hold you in my heart forever.

For the family of Doris Mawn,

Doris was a genteel and refined lady through and through.  She treated everyone, including her students, with caring and respect.  Her stewardship of the RCC Medical Assisting Program and maintenance of high standards is a strong legacy.  But what will always be foremost in my memory is the picture of my daughter and husband that she generously had framed for us. I hope Doris is enjoying the rest and peace she deserves.

Dear Doris,
You were a ray of light that entered my life. I so enjoyed all of your wonderful stories and adventures. My heart is heavy knowing I will no longer see you in this lifetime but full of joy knowing that I will see you again in Heaven. Thank you for your smiling face, your bigger than life spirit and your friendship.  I will miss you deeply.
