Evelyn La'Shawn Johnson of Riverside, CA, passed away at the age of 56 on October 14, 2024. Evelyn was born January 28, 1968, to Joseph B. Johnson Sr. and Bertha Johnson (Williams) in Chapel Hill, NC.
Her family moved from Louisburg NC in 1968 to Springfield, MA, where she grew up. Evelyn grew up in a Christian household of Jehovah's Witnesses, but made truth her own in 2020.She graduated from Roger L Putnam Vocational Technical High School in 1985.
Evelyn went to school to become a nurse, but soon realized she enjoyed and was very talented as a hairdresser. She was successful until her health began to demise. Evelyn, moved to Riverside CA, in 2010 with her 3 sons Jonathan, Gregory and Ro'Shawn and lived there until her untimely passing.
Evelyn also leaves behind her parents, Joseph B Johnson Sr. and Bertha Johnson.
Her siblings Teana Johnson,Shari M Johnson, and Joseph Johnson Jr. of Springfield MA. Her nephew, Joseph English of Middletown CT and brother-in-law Leonard Johnson also of Springfield, MA. Along with 3 grandchildren and many aunts, cousins and a host of spiritual cousins, aunts, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, moms, and dads too many to mention.
She was a beautiful person inside and out. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
